If you have seen the trailer for ‘Billions,’ you know that Malin Akerman is taking on a new kind of role — a strong, independent woman who just happens to be married to businessman, Damian Lewis.
“It’s a different challenge — something that I haven’t done before,” Malin Akerman, 37, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively during an interview. The actress is currently starring in Showtime’s new show, Billions, and the new film alongside Nina Dobrev, The Final Girls.
“I love a good challenge, [and] I like representing strong women,” she said of Billions. “It’s really fun; it’s really well written. I’m excited to see where it goes.” As for her on-screen husband, Damian Lewis, she knows that she’s a lucky lady to be next to such an amazing man.
“He’s incredible! What a phenomenal actor and a very charming Brit,” she raved. “He’s just lovely to work with — a professional, really inspiring kind of guy. I’m working with someone who I respect very much. As an actor, I feel like I’m going to learn a lot from working with him. we get along really well.”
